Filipe Silva nasceu em Lisboa, Portugal, em 4 de julho de 1964. É Vice-presidente do Conselho de Administração e presidente da Comissão Executiva desde 1 de janeiro de 2023. Foi responsável pela área financeira da Comissão Executiva (CFO) da Galp entre julho de 2012 e maio de 2023.

Desde 1999 e antes de ingressar na Galp, foi responsável, pelas áreas de investment banking do Deutsche Bank em Portugal, acumulando desde 2008 as funções de CEO do Deutsche Bank em Portugal.

Filipe é licenciado em Economia e Gestão Financeira e possui mestrado em Gestão Financeira, ambas pela Catholic University of America, Washington D.C.

 

 

Gonçalo Marques Oliveira holds a Management Degree from the Portuguese Catholic University and an MBA from INSEAD, in Fontainebleau. Before joining the Pestana Hotel Group, the largest multinational hotel group of Portuguese origin, Gonçalo was the COO/CIO and Executive Board Member of Tranquilidade, an insurance company. Previously Gonçalo had served as CIO at Galp Energia until 2017, which followed his 12 years at Portugal Telecom (PT), where he was, among other, Head of Information Systems and Board Member of some of PT’s subsidiaries. In March 2020 he joined the Pestana Hotel Group as member of the Executive Committee and CIO. 

During his professional career spanning over twenty years, Gonçalo Oliveira had several responsibilities in the fields of Digital Transformation, Operations,  Strategy and also in Consulting, having worked at McKinsey & Co. Gonçalo lives in Lisbon with his wife and two young children 

 

 

Isabel Rute Ucha da Silva is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Euronext Lisbon, the company that manages the Portuguese Stock Exchange, and also holds the position of Director of Euronext N.V., a multinational group that integrates several European stock exchanges. Isabel Rute Ucha da Silva holds  a degree in Economics from the Catholic University, a Master’s degree in Economics from the New University, and a Master Degree in Finance from the London Business School. On a professional level, and among other activities, she held the position of Advisor for Economic Affairs to the Prime Minister for 4 years, directed the Issuances and Markets Unit  of the Treasury and Public Debt Management Agency – IGCP, held positions at the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), and was an executive partner of a consulting firm for about 7 years. At the same time, she has been a lecturer at the Portuguese Catholic University teaching several economics and finance programs (Economics, Corporate Finance, Economics of Finance, Economics of Regulation, European Economics, Portuguese Economy, Corporate Governance).  

 

 

Isabel Vaz is the Chief Executive Officer of the Luz Saúde Group since 1999. She has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a Master of Business and Administration (MBA) from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She began her career as a researcher at the Institute of Experimental Biology and Technology (IBET) and was Senior Consultant at McKinsey, focusing predominantly on banking and insurance sectors.  

Isabel was also a former member of the Faculty Board in the NOVA School of Business and Economics, former member of the International Advisory Board of The Lisbon MBA in the same University and former member of the General Council of the Universidade de Lisboa. She was named Portuguese CEO of the year (2015 / «Excellence Economics 2015») and in 2017 was awarded with «Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo» Award from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST).  

 

 

Joaquim Miranda Sarmento was born on 7 August 1978 in Lisbon. 

He holds a PhD in Finance from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. 

He is assistant Finance Professor (with tenure) at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon 

He was economic adviser to the President of the Republic Aníbal Cavaco Silva from 2012 to 2016. 

He worked for 10 years at the Ministry of Finance and was Consultant for the Budgetary Assistance Technical Unit. 

He was a Member of Parliament and President of the PSD Parliamentary Group from 2022 to 2024. 

Chairman of the Board of AEM – Portuguese Issuers Association.  

Vice-Rector/Vice-President of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and Professor of Business at Católica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics. Parallel to his academic duties, Miguel has a vast business experience. In capital markets, Miguel was member of the Management Committee of NYSE Euronext (New York), member of the Managing Board of Euronext N.V. (Amsterdam), and Executive Chairman of Euronext Lisbon. His duties also included serving as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Galp Energia (a listed energy company), NED of Brisa-CR (infra-structure and tolled highways), executive board member of Caixa Geral de Depósitos (the largest Portuguese bank) and of Jerónimo Martins (a listed multinational in retail and distribution). In public administration, Miguel served as President of AICEP — the Portuguese Agency for Trade and Investment. On top of his professional duties, Miguel has maintained an involvement with non-profit and charitable activities. He has had many appearances as guest speaker at international meetings and conferences. Miguel Athayde Marques has taught in several Masters and Executive programs and he was one of the first Europeans to teach at the MBA of CEIBS Business School (Beijing, Shanghai).

 

 

PAUL MIHAILOVITCH joined J.P. Morgan in 1996 in the Investment Banking department in Paris. From 1997 to 1998, he was a member of the London-based Fixed Income Origination team covering France. In 1998, Paul joined the Investment Banking team in Paris, as a banker covering French corporate clients. In 2000, Paul joined the Equity Capital Markets team in London. He co-headed ECM for France, then was in charge of ECM for CEE/CIS, and is now in charge of ECM for Iberia/France/Benelux/Italy and Greece. Paul graduated from the French engineering school Ecole des Mines (Nancy), and from ESSEC business school (Paris) 

 

 

Graduated from Universidade Católica Portuguesa with a  degree in Management and a Master’s in Television  Management from Boston University School of  Communication. He started his professional career at Banco  de Investimentos ESSI in 1990. He joined the Impresa group  in 1992 and became part of the administration in 2008. 

In 2012 he assumed the group’s executive presidency – a role  he held until 2016. 

He has been a non-executive member of the Calouste  Gulbenkian Foundation Board since 2017 and CEO of  Finerge since 2018. 

Stéphane Boujnah has been the CEO of Euronext and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext since 2015. Before joining Euronext, Mr Boujnah was Head of Santander Global Banking and Markets for continental Europe. 

From 2005 to 2010, he was Managing Director at Deutsche Bank responsible for the development of the investment banking operations in France. Previously he founded KM5 Capital, an advisory company specialized in equity raising and M&A advice for venture capital funds and innovative technology companies. From 2000 to 2002, he was Director of the European M&A team of Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group in Palo Alto and London. From 1997 to 1999, Mr Boujnah was senior adviser to the French Minister for Economy, Finance and Industry. He began his career in 1991 as a business lawyer at Freshfields.  

Mr Boujnah was a member of the Commission pour la Libération de la Croissance Française established by the then President Nicolas Sarkozy in 2007. He is founder and Vice-President of the board of directors of the think tank En Temps Réel and President of the board of directors of Accentus and Insula Orchestra, a non-profit cultural initiative. He is also a member of the board of Borsa Italiana.  

He graduated from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. He holds a Master degree and a DEA in Law from La Sorbonne Paris, a LLM in Law from the University of Kent, and a MBA from Insead. 

 

 

Pedro Cassiano Santos joined VdA in 1989 and is a Partner thereof since 1996, currently being the Head of Practice of the Banking & Finance department within the firm, undertaking overall responsibility for clients and transactions within the financial sector. 
He is regularly involved in the provision of legal advice in banking and capital markets’ transactions, also ensuring coverage of regulatory matters and the advice rendered to syndicated facilities, as well as responsibility for the structuring of several financing transactions, such as the issue and placement (both national and international) of debt, hybrid and equity instruments, and the issue and placement of warrants and other risk management tools, for both cash and synthetic financial products. 
He has also been actively working in securitisations and other types of asset-backed and structured finance transactions. 

Pedro is also a regular speaker in conferences and a guest teacher of several Masters and Post Graduate courses organized by distinct Institutes and Universities. 

Pedro has been seconded in a International financial institution operating in Portugal during 5 years, operating as in-house legal counsel to such institution.” 

 

 

Ricardo Ferreira Reis, Invited Assistant Professor of Accounting, he is Director of Center of Applied Studies (CEA). Holds a PhD in Business Science and Applied Economics, Wharton School, U. Pennsylvania, USA and a Licenciatura in Economics, University of Porto. Prof. Reis teaches Financial Accounting at the MBA, Undergraduate and Executive Education levels. His areas of interest in research are based on informational economics, with an emphasis on Accounting, ranging from agency theory to corporate governance. He previously taught both Cost and Financial Accounting at The Wharton School. Before that, he was attending the Doctorate and Masters Degree in Economics at Universidade Nova in Lisbon, where he also taught a wide range of courses in Economics and Business. Prof. Reis was a consultant for the then Lisbon Stock Exchange and the Porto Derivatives Exchange and he worked as a credit risk analysts for investment banking earlier in his career. 

 

 

Vasco Antunes Pereira is currently CEO of Lusíadas Saúde, a reference group in the portuguese healthcare sector with seven hospitals and six clinics, and a network of 30 dental clinics under the HeyDoc brand. 

Lusiadas’ mission is focused on real care for the people and their families, promoting a healthier and full life. Lusíadas Saúde is a team of more than seven thousand people in Portugal and generating an annual revenue of approximately 345 M€. 

Before assuming the position of CEO at Lusiadas, Vasco Antunes Pereira was CEO of Hospital de Cascais and member of the Board of Directors of Lusíadas Saúde.  

With a law degree from Universidade Lusíada, several postgraduate courses in health at Stanford University & IESE and an MBA from Georgetown University, he began his career as a corporate lawyer then moved to be head of the legal area at the first PPP (Public-private Hospital) experience in Portugal – Hospital Amadora-Sintra. After his MBA he changed roles and lead Strategic Procurement at José de Mello Saúde.
